The Main House
Walk through the 17th century arched doorway into the spacious Drawing Room. Comfortable interiors compliment the Tuscan style chestnut beamed ceiling and traditional terracotta tiling with stone fireplace. A small library of books/dvd/cd's nestle with music/dvd system for modern day comforts.
 

The Drawing Room leads into the dining room with banqueting table and chairs seating 10. An ornate ceramic wood burning stove sits against the medieval stone wall which gives warmth and atmosphere, a magical venue for Christmas and New Year after a day on the local ski slopes.
 

Enter the 'Tuscan Style Kitchen', at the base of the tower, equipped with hob/oven/fridge/freezer and most cooking pans/utensils. For the 'domestic goddess' washing machine, iron and ironing board are also available.


The Dining Room     
We are happy to provide the basic kitchen larder and cleaning detergents, however we would ask clients to replace once empty. Adjacent to the kitchen is a quaint breakfast room with credenza accommodating cutlery and tableware. Step through an arched vestibule and onto the spacious covered terrace. The terrace offers relaxing and comfortable seating to view the stunning scenery. The terrace also overlooks the swimming pool and natural woodland, ideal area for the sultry summer evening soiree's.

 

Upstairs to:-
The four bedrooms, en-suite supplied with fresh linen and one set of towels per person. The bedrooms are individually styled having lush Italian bedlinen and creature comforts of bathrobes and hairdryers, each room offering wonderful mountain views.


Master bedroom:- with king size antique iron bed, chestnut beams with ceiling fan and patio doors to small terrace with views of Montagna Bocco. A large en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.


Tower bedroom:- transports you back in time complete with florentine style fresco, as special treat for the romantics!
Two further bedrooms:- One twin bedroom and one double room with adjoining en-suite shower room 'jack and Jill' style.

Sleeps up to 8 with an extra option of childs cot. 


At the rear of the house with total privacy lies the swimming pool. The pool is oblong with a roman end style steps. (12 meters x 7 meters and the depth is 1.4 meters). The pool area provides  sun loungers for 8 guests with table and chairs under the Pergola for 'Al Fresco' dining.
Montecastello stands in its own private grounds of mature oak and chestnut woodland.

 

The Apennine Mountains are presented as an uninterrupted view from the property's natural plateau. from this point there is also the peak of the local winter ski resort Prato
